We couldn’t stop laughing the entire ride. How to Train Your Dragon 🐉 The entire Isle of Berk is stunning, but the dragon show absolutely blew us away. If you’re only going to watch one show, make it this one. Meeting Toothless is also 100% worth the wait. The character.
Interaction is fantastic, and we ended up with some of our favorite vacation photos from the entire trip. Speaking of photos…buy the Photo Pass. Seriously. We normally debate whether it’s worth it, but at Epic Universe, it absolutely is. There are so many incredible photo opportunities throughout every land that we got our money’s worth very quickly. Stardust Racers 🚀 This was hands-down my favorite ride in the entire park. We rode the yellow side, and as thrill coaster lovers, we were instantly hooked. If you love airtime, speed, and nonstop excitement, this coaster delivers. It’s easily one of my favorite coasters anywhere. One thing to know before you get.
In line: absolutely nothing is allowed on this ride. No phones, no watches, no keys in your pockets…nothing. You’ll go through a metal detector before boarding, so be prepared to use the free lockers. A Few Things to Know Before You Go This park is gorgeous—but it’s also different from Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. There actually aren’t that many rides yet, especially when you compare it to the other two parks. That’s not necessarily a bad thing because the lands themselves are worth exploring, but it’s something to keep in mind when planning your day. Another thing we noticed was the lack of shade. Be brutal, and there aren’t nearly as many places to escape the sun as we expected. Rain is another factor. Several attractions close during storms, so if afternoon rain rolls in, your options become much more limited. If you need shelter, some indoor attractions are your best bet while you wait it out, but don’t expect every ride to stay open when the weather moves in. Would I Buy Express Pass? For us…absolutely yes. This is just my personal opinion, but I would not visit Epic Universe for a single day without Express Pass. It allowed us to experience all of the rides we wanted, spend time exploring every land,.
Let the kids enjoy using their interactive wands, meet characters, and still have time to slow down and appreciate everything the park has to offer. Without Express, I think we would have spent most of our day standing in lines instead of experiencing the park. Final Thoughts Epic Universe isn’t perfect. It needs more attractions, more shaded areas, and weather can definitely impact your day. But despite those things, I honestly think it’s the most beautiful Universal park ever built. The theming is on another level, Super Nintendo World is a dream for Nintendo fans, Isle of Berk is breathtaking, Stardust Racers is an elite coaster, and the overall experience.
